Windows and doors into abstraction

May 10, 2017 Lynne Cameron

Last night I took a tour of Rothesay Pavilion. An art deco building from the 1930s, it is in the process of being restored. The interior building works created abstract images ...

... doors to somewhere and nowhere.

Windows, transforming the light from outside...

It will be a great space for the Bute community. And, just as it is, it seems to invite abstract art - I'd love to place some of my paintings into this space-in-transformation, to encourage the shapes to ricochet off each other and to make the colours vibrate even more strongly..
